A Place Apart is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Putney, Vermont.

A Place Apart seeks to be a place of prayer.

Part of this seeking has meant developing an approach to daily prayer that grows out of the spiritual journey of the community.

You are invited to join us on this journey by using A Place Apart's weekly liturgy, available free on this site.

Click on the day of the week above to view the day's prayers for morning, mid-day, and evening (prayers are provided in PDF format; if your computer cannot display them click here to download software to read this format). This page is intentionally kept simple to make it easy for visitors to come and use these prayers.

The prayers are structured around the emerging spiritual foci of the A Place Apart community; the archetypes of warrior, mystic, and monk; and the need to honor each part of the day and each part of God's creation.
